65% of children admitted to the Emergency Room don’t have a medical problem - their diagnosis is homelessness.
Established by a group of compassionate donors, the Family-to-Family Project is a network of families that want to extend a helping hand to families teetering on the edge of homelessness. For many families, a one-time grant of $1,500 can keep them in their homes and prevent them from falling into homelessness. While many people can to turn to their parents, grandparents, or other people in their support systems during a financial emergency, the families we work with often have nowhere and no one to whom they can turn. With the support of a committed group of long-time donors, we are able to keep families out of the shelter system.
The Family-to-Family Project provides Boston’s most vulnerable families with the support they would otherwise not have. By reaching out to another family in need, Family-to-Family donors are changing the trajectory of children’s lives and stemming the tide of family homelessness.
