Sulser named to Board
As senior investment director at Cambridge Associates, Maria Sulser is an expert in planning for the future. It’s a major tenet of her occupation, and it’s why she’s agreed to an appointment on FamilyAid’s Board of Directors.
The Boston resident, who has served on FamilyAid’s finance committee since 2021, said she is motivated to prevent homelessness from becoming a multigenerational issue.
“I’ve seen homelessness in my neighborhood, and I’ve wanted to make a difference, particularly for children,” Maria said. “Unresolved trauma from childhood homelessness is a leading cause of long-term adult homelessness. I admire FamilyAid’s mission to ensure homeless children have the necessary services and resources to prevent the cycle from continuing.”
FamilyAid Board Chair John Worrall said Maria’s professional expertise and personal dedication to solving family homelessness make her an important addition to the board.
“It’s critically important to have successful young professionals from all sectors stepping forward to end child and family homelessness,” Worrall said. “Maria’s background and accomplishments in both life and business are invaluable board additions.”
Maria received her BA in business administration from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and her MBA from Georgetown University. Maria volunteers as a Boston Regional Alumni Ambassador for Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
