TEMPORARY HOUSING

There are almost 9,000 homeless children and parents in Boston on any given night.

The children and parents that walk through our doors are faced with one of the scariest situations any family can imagine: they no longer have a place to call home. With more than 135 units of temporary housing, we provide children and parents with safe places to stay while we provide educational and housing search and placement services and connections to vital community resources they need to return to a home of their own.

Throughout their time in temporary housing, we teach parents how, together, we can address the financial issues that led them to become homeless and overcome the barriers they face to quickly return to stable housing. We also work with parents to find resources for their children, from child care to summer camps to primary care doctors.
