Ianiere Appointed as First FamilyAid Chief Advancement Officer
Boston, MA – July 12, 2021 — FamilyAid, a Boston-based agency providing comprehensive services for homeless children and parents living in poverty, recently appointed Alicia Ianiere as its first chief advancement officer.
“Alicia is a tenacious, experienced leader who brings vision and creativity to her work,” says FamilyAid President Larry Seamans. “We welcome her passion and expertise as we focus on expanding our 2 generational work and seek philanthropic resources to meet the needs of an increasing number of homeless children and parents.”
Ianiere comes to FamilyAid after serving for 16 years at Pine Street Inn, where she most recently served as chief advancement officer and led that organization’s successful 50th Anniversary Capital Campaign.
“I am delighted to join one of Boston’s leading safety-net organizations as the country engages more fully in fighting entrenched childhood poverty.” says Ianiere. “The magnitude of the issue will require broad community engagement and I am excited and honored to help FamilyAid deepen its programs that are proven to help lift children and their parents out of homelessness and poverty.”
Ianiere previously served as director of advancement at Newton Country Day School of The Sacred Heart, where she successfully led all fundraising efforts. She worked securing philanthropic support in the youth, education, and homeless services sectors throughout her career and has also served on the boards of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Association of Fundraising Professionals of Massachusetts, and Catholic Memorial High School.
Ianiere is a graduate of Boston College and resides in Newton.
Since 1916, FamilyAid has been improving the lives of the working poor. As Boston’s largest provider of solutions to family homelessness, the agency empowers parents and caregivers to secure and sustain housing and build strong foundations for their children’s futures.
