It’s been a big week for FamilyAid. The Boston Globe named FamilyAid one of its Top Places to Work in 2023 and acknowledged its role as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) champion.

The national innovation network Ascend at the Aspen Institute also selected FamilyAid as one of 15 nonprofit organizations for its new 2Gen Accelerator Community. The recognition includes a $170,000 grant to evolve adult-focused approaches to family homelessness into whole-family efforts.

Working with its collaborators – Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Horizons for Homeless Children, New England Community Services, Inc., United Way of Massachusetts Bay, City Year Boston, Boston Public Schools, Boston Children’s Hospital, Big Sister Boston and Boston College School of Social Work – FamilyAid will apply the grant to fully implement Boston’s Child Homelessness Intercept Mapping and Engagement (CHIME) project to improve 2Gen outcomes and share its work with other communities.
